Softball Game Preview: Camden County Wildcats vs. Ware County Gators

The Camden County Wildcats will square off against the Ware County Gators at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Camden County fell victim to Long County and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Blue Tide, falling 6-0. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Ware County also failed to score in their most recent game. They lost 8-0 to Appling County on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Gators in their meetings with the Pirates: they've now lost three in a row.

Camden County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Ware County, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Camden County was able to grind out a solid victory over Ware County in their previous meeting back in August of 2024, winning 10-7. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Gators have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
