Softball Recap: Falls City Takes a Loss

Falls City couldn't beat Platteview on Tuesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the second inning. The Tigers lost 17-7 to the Trojans. The Tigers have struggled against the Trojans recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Falls City saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addi Miller, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Another was Brylee Liberty, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

Falls City's defeat dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Platteview, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Falls City will be playing in front of their home fans against Fairbury at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Platteview, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 16-4 win against South Sioux City on the 18th.
