Soccer Game Preview: Central DeWitt vs. Assumption

Central DeWitt will head out to take on the Assumption Knights at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Central DeWitt fell victim to Mt. Pleasant and their airtight defense on Saturday. They came up short against the Panthers, falling 3-0.

Meanwhile, Assumption also failed to score in their most recent game. They lost 4-0 to Davenport North on Thursday. Assumption have struggled against Davenport North recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Assumption's loss dropped their record down to 4-4-2. As for Central DeWitt, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4-3.

Central DeWitt skirted past Assumption 1-0 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Central DeWitt since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
