Soccer Game Preview: Roswell vs. North Gwinnett

The Roswell Hornets will square off against the North Gwinnett Bulldogs at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. North Gwinnett took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Roswell, who comes in off a win.

North Gwinnett better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Roswell really get things going. Roswell never let Forsyth Central onto the board and left with a 3-0 win on Tuesday. The Hornets' winning goal came courtesy of Diego Jimenez.

Meanwhile, there was early excitement for North Gwinnett after they claimed the first goal on Wednesday, however, they wouldn't score again. They fell just short of Gainesville by a score of 2-1. One thing that didn't help the Bulldogs' chances was the red card they were dealt courtesy of Thomas GILLESPIE.

This is the second loss in a row for North Gwinnett and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for Roswell, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Roswell beat North Gwinnett by a goal in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, winning 2-1. Will Roswell repeat their success, or does North Gwinnett have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
