Basketball Recap: Westover Wins Going Away Against Triton

Westover won the last time they faced Triton and things went their way on Friday too. The Westover Wolverines' defense stepped up to hand the Triton Hawks a 63-0 shutout. That 63 point margin sets a new team best for the Wolverines this season.

Westover's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Alena Dilione, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten boards. Ja?Naisha Carney was another key player, putting up 15 points along with six boards and six steals.

Westover has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.3 points per game. As for Triton, they now have a losing record at 4-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westover will host Seventy-First at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Triton, they will welcome Southern Lee at 6:30 p.m. on December 20th.
