Southeast Polk waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They put the hurt on the Jefferson Hawks with a sharp 12-5 victory. For the Rams, this counts as revenge for the 5-4 win the Hawks walked away with the last time they faced one another back in June of 2024.

Southeast Polk's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-7. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Jefferson, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.

Southeast Polk wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 8-1 defeat against Northwest on the 16th. As for Jefferson, they have also already played their next match, a 5-3 victory against West Fork on the 14th.
