Soccer Recap: Gardena Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Despite a strong season so far, Gardena has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They came up short against the Banning Pilots on Wednesday, falling 5-0. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pilots apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Gardena's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-2-1. As for Banning, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gardena will head out to square off against Rancho Dominguez at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Banning, they are taking a road trip to challenge San Pedro at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as San Pedro comes in on four and Banning on six.
