Basketball Game Preview: Cajon Cowboys vs. Valley View Eagles

After both having extra time off, the Cajon Cowboys and the Valley View Eagles will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cajon will be strutting in after a win while Valley View will be coming in after a defeat.

Cajon is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They really took it to PAL Academy for the full four quarters, racking up an 83-0 victory. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Cowboys had established an 81-point advantage.

Cajon's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nioni McCain led the charge by putting up 11 points. Another player making a difference was Eunaysia Nolley, who posted ten points and six boards.

Meanwhile, Valley View lost to Patriot at home by a 47-28 margin last Friday.

Cajon will have to keep a close watch on Iyanna Castle and Gianna Mendiola, a pair of players who had a big impact on Valley View's prior game. Castle put up ten points, while Mendiola had ten points and three steals. Leila Cunamay also deserves some recognition as she grabbed her first steal of the season.

Cajon now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Valley View, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
