Basketball Game Preview: Saint Mary's Panthers vs. Fortuna Huskies

Saint Mary's is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Monte Vista 48-45. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Panthers have posted since December 27, 2024.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fortuna). They came out on top against Middletown by a score of 60-47 on Friday. The victory was familiar territory for the Huskies, who have now won three games in a row.

Saint Mary's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-15. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.7 points over those games. As for Fortuna, their victory bumped their record up to 16-12.
