Basketball Game Preview: Kennedy Titans vs. Washington Huskies

Kennedy is 0-10 against Washington since January of 2019 but things could change on Friday. The Kennedy Titans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Washington Huskies at 7:00 p.m. Kennedy is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

Kennedy will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Irvington, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Kennedy took down Irvington 50-32 on Wednesday.

Kennedy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Payton Siquig, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten boards. The game was Siquig's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Chloe Buchner was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and 11 rebounds.

Kennedy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in six consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Washington hadn't done well against Mission San Jose recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Washington strolled past Mission San Jose with points to spare, taking the game 47-32. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Huskies.

Washington has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Kennedy, their win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 9-9.
