Soccer Game Recap: Perry vs. Lakeside

While Perry's win against Lakeside wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Pirates never let the Dragons get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Thursday. The win continues a trend for Perry in their matchups with Lakeside: they've now won three in a row.

Perry's one-goal win came courtesy of Tannish Drew, who's now up to three this season.

Perry picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 4-8. As for Lakeside, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-5-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Perry will welcome Conneaut at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Perry will be up against Conneaut's rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.62 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Lakeside, they will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Edgewood at 7:00 p.m. Lakeside will need to watch out since Edgewood have now posted at least four goals in their last three contests.
