Softball Recap: Blue River vs. Arlington Eagles
If Blue River was feeling good fresh off their 13-0 takedown of Boone Central on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Blue River came up short against the Arlington Eagles on Thursday, falling 9-3. Blue River was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Arlington apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.
Blue River saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Olivia Adams, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Danica Watts was another, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
Blue River's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Arlington, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
Coming up, Blue River will be taking part in a tournament against Pierce at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Blue River will need to watch out since the Bluejays have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests. As for Arlington, they will take on Tekamah-Herman in a tournament on Saturday. The Eagles are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
