Recap: Dana Hills Dolphins vs. Norco Cougars
The Dana Hills Dolphins have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 21 points or more this season. They really took it to Norco for the full four quarters, racking up a 69-10 victory on the road. The victory was familiar territory for Dana Hills who now have five in a row.
Dana Hills' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kayla Rice led the charge by scoring 12 points along with four steals. The matchup was Rice's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Akason, who scored 18 points.
Dana Hills is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season. As for Norco, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.
Dana Hills and Costa Mesa will face off at 1:00 p.m. on December 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Costa Mesa has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 8. Norco will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Anaheim at 6:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024.
