Basketball Recap: Archbishop Carroll Extends Winning Streak to Four

Archbishop Carroll had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They strolled past the Central Dauphin Rams with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 42-28. The victory was familiar territory for the Patriots, who have now won four matches in a row.

Archbishop Carroll's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kayla Eberz led the charge by putting up 16 points. Eberz's big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexis Eberz, who posted 12 points.

When it comes to explaining why Central Dauphin lost, don't look at Maya Dickerson. Despite the final result, she had 13 points.

Archbishop Carroll's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-9. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.2 points over those games. As for Central Dauphin, their loss dropped their record down to 18-11.

Coming up, Archbishop Carroll will venture away from home to square off against Perkiomen Valley at 7:30 p.m. on March 21st. Perkiomen Valley will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something Archbishop Carroll surely won't give up without a fight. Central Dauphin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
