Volleyball Recap: Cristo Rey Find Success

Cristo Rey posted their closest win since March 17th on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Bostonia Global Lobos 3-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 on April 2nd.

Cristo Rey wouldn't go down easily and took Bostonia Global into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-27, 25-23, 25-17, 22-25, 20-18.

Cristo Rey has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Bostonia Global, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Cristo Rey is set to square off against their familiar foe High Tech NC at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Bostonia Global will face off against rival King-Chavez Community at 4:00 p.m. on the 29th.
