Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gardena). They breezed by the Rancho Dominguez Lobos to the tune of 65-0 on Friday. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Lobos recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Gardena's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Saniya Keyes, who posted seven points in addition to nine boards and four blocks. Keyes is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last 17 games she's played. Shamia Overton was another key player, going 5 for 10 on her way to 10 points along with five rebounds and four blocks.

Gardena was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Gardena's win bumped their record up to 11-14. As for Rancho Dominguez, their loss was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-14.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gardena will take on Carson at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Carson will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Gardena surely won't give up without a fight. As for Rancho Dominguez, they will face off against San Pedro at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
