Volleyball Recap: Hanford Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Hanford suffered their biggest loss since October 23, 2024 on Tuesday. They came up short against the El Diamante Miners, falling 3-0. The Bullpups were not able to make up for their defeat to the Miners from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-19, 25-12.

Claire Welch paced Hanford's offense, picking up 13 kills. Welch really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 14. Finally, Shelby Haire kept Hanford's defense grounded, leading the team with six blocks.

Diamond Palomo was the offensive standout of the match as she had 15 digs and two aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last seven games. Marley Crisp also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Hanford has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season. As for El Diamante, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Coming up, Hanford will be playing at home against Sanger West at 6:30 p.m. on the 11th. As for El Diamante, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Bullard on the 3rd.
