Football Recap: Larned Takes a Loss

Larned was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Hoisington Cardinals 86-6. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas football rankings (they are ranked 201st, while the Cardinals are ranked 38th).

Mason Miller threw for 36 yards on six of 18 attempts.

Larned's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Hoisington, they pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Larned wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 30-22 defeat against Lakin on the 24th. As for Hoisington, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 42-22 victory against Cimarron on the 24th.
