Soccer Game Preview: Smithville vs. Norwayne

Smithville hasn't had much luck against Norwayne recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Smithies will welcome the Bobcats at 5:00 p.m.

Smithville is headed into the matchup having not lost since August 19 and will look to keep things rolling. They and Central Christian finished up their match with a 1-1 draw on Thursday.

Smithville's goal came courtesy of Braden Gump, who's now up to four this season.

Meanwhile, Norwayne kept a clean sheet against Chippewa on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Chipps with a sharp 3-0 victory. Considering Norwayne have won five contests by more than two goals this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Norwayne is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those four matches. Smithville's draw gives them a new season record of 7-1-4.
