Scotts Valley lost to Santa Cruz back in January, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Scotts Valley Falcons walked away with a 2-0 win over the Santa Cruz Cardinals. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Falcons.

Ella Ireland and Taylor Ericson scored both of Scotts Valley's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Scotts Valley now has a winning record of 7-6-4. As for Santa Cruz, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Scotts Valley will challenge San Lorenzo Valley at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Scotts Valley is facing San Lorenzo Valley at the right time seeing as San Lorenzo Valley is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Santa Cruz, they will take on Aptos at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
