Braintree barely beat Milton the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wamps' pitchers stepped up to hand the Wildcats a 6-0 shutout on Wednesday. That six-run margin sets a new team best for the Wamps this season.

The win snapped Braintree's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 10-7 record. As for Milton, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-7.

Coming up, Braintree will challenge Hanover at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Milton, they will face off against Boston Latin at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
