Soccer Recap: Encinal Takes a Loss

Encinal was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Piedmont Highlanders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Jets of the 4-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Encinal's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Piedmont, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-6-2 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Encinal will head out to square off against Alameda at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Encinal is facing Alameda at the right time seeing as Alameda is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Piedmont, they will take on Berkeley at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
