Football Game Preview: Blue Valley Southwest Timberwolves vs. Blue Valley Northwest Huskies + How To Watch

Blue Valley Southwest and Blue Valley Northwest are an even 4-4 against one another since September of 2017, but not for long. The Timberwolves will be playing in front of their home fans against the Huskies at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Blue Valley Southwest is looking for their season's first win.

Blue Valley Southwest is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They came up short against De Soto on Friday, falling 59-33. The Timberwolves were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-0.

Blue Valley Southwest's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Michael Dunn, who threw for 426 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 13.7 yards per attempt, and Blake Thomas, who picked up 160 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. Thomas' longest reception was for an incredible 80 yards. Blue Valley Southwest also got help from Max Nilges, who showed off his sure hands for 107 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, Blue Valley Northwest faced Saint Thomas Aquinas in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Huskies were dealt a 35-7 defeat at the hands of the Saints. The Huskies haven't had much luck with the Saints recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Blue Valley Southwest's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Blue Valley Northwest, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Blue Valley Southwest was dealt a bruising 40-13 defeat at the hands of Blue Valley Northwest in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Timberwolves were down 27-0.
