Football Recap: Northeastern Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Northeastern challenged Central York on Friday. The Bobcats took a blow against the Panthers, falling 61-7. The Bobcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-0.

Brooklyn Nace had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 231 yards and three TDs while completing 91.7% of his passes for Central York. Nace is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last five games he's played. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Legend Johnson, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.

Northeastern's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Central York, the win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Looking ahead, Northeastern will look to defend their home field on Friday against South Western at 7:00 p.m. The Bobcats will be up against the Mustangs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 28.86 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Central York, they are taking a road trip to face off against Red Lion at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers are facing the Lions at the right time seeing as the Lions are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
