Softball Recap: Westside Comes Up Short

Westside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 16-0 to the Harlem Bulldogs. If the Patriots were looking for revenge after losing 15-0 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Westside's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Harlem, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-6.

Looking ahead, Westside is taking a road trip to challenge Cross Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Razorbacks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.42 runs per game on average), something the Patriots will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Harlem, they will face off against Briarwood Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bulldogs will need to watch out since the Buccaneers have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
