Basketball Preview: Port of Los Angeles Polar Bears vs. Jordan Bulldogs

The Port of Los Angeles Polar Bears will head out on the road to face off against the Jordan Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Port of Los Angeles has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 29.

Last Friday, Port of Los Angeles had to suffer through a rough 83-13 loss at the hands of the Monarchs. While losing is never fun, Port of Los Angeles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1233rd, while the Monarchs are ranked 295th).

Meanwhile, Jordan was beaten by the Hawks 69-24 on Wednesday. Jordan has not had much luck with the Hawks recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Port of Los Angeles' defeat was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-12. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 12.5 points per game. As for Jordan, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

Port of Los Angeles came up short against the Bulldogs when the teams last played back in January, falling 38-27. Can Port of Los Angeles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
