Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Iowa City). They never let the Marion Wolves get on the board and left with a 12-0 win on Friday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Little Hawks as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Iowa City's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Marion, their loss was their 13th straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-18.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Iowa City will host Cedar Falls on Monday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so the Little Hawks' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Marion, they will face off against Clear Creek-Amana at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
