Basketball Recap: Littlerock Comes Up Short

Littlerock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 24th straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 75-0 defeat at the hands of the Eastside Lions. While losing is never fun, the Lobos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1071st, while the Lions are ranked 329th).

Littlerock's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Eastside, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 11-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Littlerock will take on Antelope Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Antelope Valley has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 211 points over their last three matchups. As for Eastside, they will face off against Lancaster at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lancaster is on a five-game streak of home wins, Eastside a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
