Softball Recap: Westview Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with Lincoln East

Westview faced Lincoln East in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Wolverines fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 4-3. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Elke Martin was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Kadence Bosan, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run.

Westview's defeat dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Lincoln East, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-7.

Looking ahead, Westview will challenge Omaha South on Monday. As for Lincoln East, they have already played their next contest, a 7-5 loss against Omaha Westside on the 19th.
