Natomas extended their losing streak to 13 on Monday, dropping them down to 0-13-1. They came up short against the Dixon Rams, falling 20-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-0 back in March.
As for Dixon, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-7. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won seven contests by 11 runs or more so far this season.
For Dixon's part, Dakota Gaball and Emily Morris made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Gaball tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Morris tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Gaball has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances. At bat, Gaball went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Morris fired off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-3. That's the most home runs Morris has posted since back in May of 2025.
In other batting news, Eva Edson and Aliviah Nazari did most of the damage at the plate: Edson went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Nazari went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Edson also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Rachael Cayabyab was another key player, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Looking ahead, Natomas will face off against Rio Linda at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Nighthawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Knights have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season. As for Dixon, they will head out on the road to square off against El Camino at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
