Soccer Game Preview: Pitman vs. Turlock

The Pitman Pride will head out to square off against the Turlock Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Turlock took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Pitman, who comes in off a win.

Pitman is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They blew past Modesto 10-2 on Tuesday. Given the Pride's advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 157th, while the Panthers are ranked 902nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite a strong season so far, Turlock has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Gregori on Tuesday. That's two games in a row now that the Bulldogs have lost by exactly two goals.

Pitman has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 29 goals over those eight games. As for Turlock, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-4-2.

Pitman beat Turlock 2-0 in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Does Pitman have another victory up their sleeve, or will Turlock turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
