Baseball Game Preview: Starr's Mill Panthers vs. Harris County Tigers

The Starr's Mill Panthers will take on the Harris County Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Starr's Mill will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Starr's Mill made up a huge gap compared to their last game against East Coweta, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Panthers put the hurt on the Indians with a sharp 10-2 win on Tuesday. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matches by seven runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Harris County's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They lost 7-1 to Northside. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Tigers have suffered since March 7th.

Harris County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ashton Herring, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Starr's Mill's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-6. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Harris County, their defeat dropped their record down to 21-6.

Starr's Mill couldn't quite finish off Harris County in their previous matchup back in March of 2022 and fell 9-7. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
