Recap: Chowchilla Tribe vs. Woodlake Tigers
The Chowchilla Tribe's's game on Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They came out on top against Woodlake by a score of 38-25.
Chowchilla's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nour Escheik, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Bella Gonsalves, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Chowchilla pushed their record up to 5-8 with that win, which was their third straight at home. As for Woodlake, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9-1 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chowchilla and Avenal will face off at 6:00 p.m. on December 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Woodlake will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Orange Cove at 6:30 p.m. on January 3, 2024.
