Soccer Game Preview: MacDonald vs. Cupertino

The MacDonald Condor will face off against the Cupertino Pioneers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for MacDonald and three for Cupertino.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for MacDonald's offense. They came up short against Saratoga on Wednesday, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, MacDonald can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 802nd, while Saratoga are ranked 386th).

Meanwhile, Cupertino also failed to score in their most recent game. They lost 8-0 to Gunn on Wednesday.

Cupertino's defeat dropped their record down to 0-14-1. As for MacDonald, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8-2.

MacDonald got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in January against Cupertino by a conclusive 4-0 score. Will the Condor repeat their success, or do the Pioneers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
