Tri-City Christian falls despite strong effort from Katie Busch

The Tri-City Christian Eagles lost against the Santa Fe Christian Eagles two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Tri-City Christian took a 63-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Santa Fe Christian. Tri-City Christian has struggled against Santa Fe Christian recently, as their game on Monday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

When it comes to explaining why Tri-City Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Katie Busch. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 19 points and 14 rebounds. Busch hasn't dropped below two blocks for 12 straight games. Giselle Murray was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six rebounds.

Santa Fe Christian was led to victory by Jennifer Stanion and Piper Lenihan. Stanion dropped a double-double on 17 points and 17 rebounds, while Lenihan scored 31 points along with eight rebounds and eight steals. Lenihan has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 22 times she's played.

Tri-City Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Santa Fe Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-12 record this season.

Tri-City Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Santa Fe Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hilltop at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hilltop will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something Santa Fe Christian surely won't give up without a fight.
