Softball Recap: Lamar Victorious + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Guymon, Lamar was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Meeker Cowboys by a score of 6-2. The Thunder have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cowboys, too.

Carlin Weber spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on eight hits and racked up ten Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Yahirett Roman, who went 1-for-3 with four stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Khloe Fernandez, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs.

The win got Lamar back to even at 1-1. As for Meeker, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Lamar has already played their next matchup, a 12-1 defeat against Eaton on the 22nd. As for Meeker, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 13-5 victory against Fort Lupton on the 22nd.
