Basketball Recap: Tehachapi Piles Up the Points Against West

Tehachapi entered their tilt with West on Wednesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They claimed a resounding 65-25 victory over the West Vikings. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 119th, while the Vikings are ranked 1032nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Koree Rodden was her usual excellent self, going 6 for 12 on her way to 15 points along with 14 steals and 11 rebounds. Those 14 steals gave her a new career-high. Jamie Neaderbaomer was another key player, putting up 18 points and five steals.

Tehachapi pushed their record up to 12-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. As for West, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-9.

Tehachapi wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 59-23 victory against Golden Valley on the 17th. As for West, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 41-21 defeat against East Bakersfield on the 17th.
