Football Game Preview: Smoky Hill Buffaloes vs. Eaglecrest Raptors + How To Watch

Smoky Hill is preparing for their first league matchup of the season on Friday. They are taking a road trip to take on the Eaglecrest Raptors at 7:00 p.m.

Smoky Hill's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Fairview on Friday. They took a blow against the Knights, falling 47-0. While losing is never fun, the Buffaloes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado football rankings (they are ranked 90th, while the Knights are ranked 14th).

Meanwhile, Eaglecrest entered their tilt with ThunderRidge on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 36-26 win over the Grizzlies.

Eaglecrest's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Smoky Hill, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.

Smoky Hill was taken down by Eaglecrest 54-14 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Buffaloes, Joe Steiner (who threw for 296 yards and five touchdowns, and also rushed for 72 yards and a pair of scores) won't be suiting up this time.
