Baseball Recap: Mount Vernon Takes a Loss

After flying high against Galloway last Monday, Mount Vernon came back down to earth. The Mustangs fell just short of the Whitefield Academy WolfPack by a score of 4-3 on Wednesday. The Mustangs were not able to make up for their defeat to the WolfPack from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Mount Vernon now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Whitefield Academy, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 15-5.

Coincidentally, Mount Vernon and Whitefield Academy will both be playing Wesleyan the next time they take the field. The Mustangs will host the Wolves at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the WolfPack will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
