Soccer Game Preview: Encinal vs. Alameda

The Encinal Jets will venture away from home to square off against the Alameda Hornets at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Encinal's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Encinal fell victim to Piedmont and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Highlanders.

Meanwhile, Alameda was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-1 to Castro Valley.

Alameda's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8-1. As for Encinal, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.

Encinal might still be hurting after the 7-1 defeat they got from Alameda in their previous meeting on January 10th. Can Encinal avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
