Recap: Encinal Jets vs. Hayward Farmers
The Encinal Jets waltzed into their matchup on Friday with three straight wins but they left with four. They walked away with a 54-43 victory over Hayward. That's another feather in the cap for Encinal, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
It was another big night for Jazzy Alcantar, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last ten times she's played. Another player making a difference was Keianna Rayndles, who scored four points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Encinal is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 12-9 record this season. As for Hayward, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-9.
Encinal will head out on the road to challenge Arroyo at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Arroyo focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday. As for Hayward, they will be playing at home against Bethel at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
