Kaylynn Bolden leads Independence to victory over Golden Valley

Recap: Independence Falcons vs. Golden Valley Bulldogs
The Independence Falcons won the last time they faced the Golden Valley Bulldogs, and things went their way on Thursday too. Independence walked away with a 50-42 win over Golden Valley.
Kaylynn Bolden continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 15 rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played. Josslyn Escobar was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with four steals.
Independence's victory bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Golden Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11.
Independence and Taft will face off at 2:30 p.m. on December 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Taft focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Thursday. Golden Valley will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Mira Monte at 6:30 p.m. on January 9, 2024. Mira Monte is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
