Softball Game Preview: Rabun County Wildcats vs. Providence Christian Academy Storm + How To Watch

Rabun County is 0-3 against Providence Christian Academy since August of 2024 but things could change on Thursday. The Wildcats are taking a road trip to challenge the Storm at 5:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Things were looking good for Rabun County after they put the first run on the board on Wednesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They came up short against Stephens County, falling 15-4.

River Evans and Chloe Shirley did some serious damage despite the final result: Evans went 1-for-3 with one home run, while Shirley went 2-for-3 with three RBI.

Meanwhile, Providence Christian Academy lost 13-5 to Banks County on Tuesday.

Belle Vann made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddie Simmasouk, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Rabun County's loss dropped their record down to 7-19. As for Providence Christian Academy, they now have a losing record of 12-13.

Rabun County suffered a grim 15-4 defeat to Providence Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in August. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
