Softball Preview: Mt. Vernon Rams vs. Triad Knights
Mt. Vernon hasn't had much luck against Triad recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Rams will challenge the Knights at 4:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Mt. Vernon 2.4, Triad 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Having soared to a lofty 21 runs in the game before, the Rams couldn't push the score so high this time.
Danicah Tobin was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, she struck out 13 batters over ten innings while giving up just two earned runs off eight hits. Tobin was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with one double.

Mt. Vernon's loss dropped their record down to 15-5. As for Triad, their win bumped their record up to 16-9.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Mt. Vernon has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.8 hits per game.
