George Washington was the 28-0 winner over Aurora Central when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Patriots took a 17-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans on Thursday. The Patriots just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Even if they lost, George Washington's defense still kept up the pressure with nine sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Jai'Dan Richardson and Jaden Barrios-Pablo, who racked up seven sacks between them. Richardson also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with 11.

George Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Aurora Central, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, George Washington will host Montbello at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Patriots will be up against the Warriors' rather soft defense (which has allowed 30.67 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Aurora Central, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 37-14 loss against Thomas Jefferson on the 16th.
