Football Recap: Emporia Skates Past West with Ease + How To Watch

After losing to West the last time they met, Emporia decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Spartans really took it to the Pioneers for the full four quarters, racking up a 52-6 win. The Spartans pushed the score to 36-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Pioneers had no chance of recovering from.

The victory got Emporia back to even at 1-1. As for West, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Emporia is taking a road trip to face off against Field Kindley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for West, they will be playing in front of their home fans against North at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup will give the Pioneers their first taste of in-conference action this season.
