Baseball Game Preview: Calvary Christian Knights vs. Strong Rock Christian Patriots

For the second straight game, Calvary Christian will face off against Strong Rock Christian. The Knights will challenge the Patriots at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Calvary Christian is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They walked away with a 9-6 victory over Strong Rock Christian.

Fitz Stone made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Liam Hocutt, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Bryson Brooks, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Calvary Christian has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 18-13 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games. As for Strong Rock Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 13-18.
