Seven must be Georgia Christian's lucky number: they beat Augusta Prep Day with that score not once but twice on Thursday. The Generals didn't even let the Cavaliers on the board, marking the Generals' second-straight 7-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Generals, who have now won 15 matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Not much got past Jett Guilliams, who gave up just two hits and racked up six Ks to keep Augusta Prep Day off the board.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Carson Hanks, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Coats, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

The victory made it two in a row for Georgia Christian and bumps their season record up to 18-5. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0 runs in those games.
