Softball Recap: Byng Extends Winning Streak to Four

While Byng put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for McAlester. The Pirates blew past the Buffaloes 11-0. Considering the Pirates have won three games by more than ten runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The win (which was Byng's fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for McAlester, their loss was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Byng will welcome Sulphur at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for McAlester, they will host Coweta at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
