Recap: Mount Union Trojans vs. Southern Huntingdon County Rockets
The Mount Union Trojans lost against the Southern Huntingdon County Rockets back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Mount Union took a serious blow against Southern Huntingdon County, falling 75-28. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Mount Union in their matchups with Southern Huntingdon County: they've now lost four in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Mount Union lost, one person who can't be blamed is Maddie Dimoff. Despite the final result, she scored 15 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Cailyn Skopic, who scored seven points along with six steals.
Mount Union dropped their record down to 4-17 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Southern Huntingdon County, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-3.
Mount Union will head out on the road to challenge Huntingdon at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Southern Huntingdon County, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 60-59 win vs. Windber on the 12th.
